About us

Azorus is a CRM solutions company established in 2002. Since the company’s inception, we have been single minded about enabling our higher education clients to recruit more of the right students utilizing easy-to-use yet powerful web-based tools. For the last 12 years we have served a broad range of higher education institutions in Canada, the USA, the UK and the Netherlands. As one of the leading CRM companies in the world focused on the higher education sector, our platform has been developed in collaboration with our university clients.

Our experience spans a wide variety of educational institutions. We have successfully implemented our web-based CRM solution at large public universities including recruiting and selective institutions, small and mid-sized private universities, community colleges as well as one of the largest online universities in the world.

Stephen MacDonald

President & CEO

Stephen founded Azorus in late 2002 as he saw a transformational change coming to the higher education market. With a background in post-graduate IT education prior to launching Azorus, he saw how technology would impact the student experience which has formed the basis of the company.

As President and CEO of Azorus, Stephen oversees the strategic direction of the company and manages all facets of business development and marketing efforts. He has been an active presenter at CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) Europe, AACRAO Strategic Enrollment Management, NACAC, and has also had the honour of speaking several times at Entrepreneurship and Leadership classes for business schools.

Suman Kalyan

Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer

Suman leads our analytics and artificial intelligence initiatives at Azorus. Under his leadership, AZAI was created to help our higher education clients leverage their data to drive business performance while enhancing the student experience. Suman brings 20 years of experience in various business and technology domains that includes architecting, leading, and building cutting edge technology solutions to solve real business problems.

Ross Campbell

Director of Technology

As Director of Technology, Ross heads up the technical design and implementation of the Azorus CRM Solution. Ross has been with Azorus since 2009 and has managed during this time all technical aspects of the CRM system including a number of highly innovative applications. With over 12 years of enterprise level technical operations experience together with software engineering experience, Ross leads the growing software engineering team at Azorus.

Brad March

Director of Client Service & Delivery

Brad’s 18 years of experience in technology sector support and service roles have provided him with the skillset necessary for his position at Azorus. He has specialized in process improvement and implementation, been involved in running large, multi-million-dollar projects from beginning to end, and overseen teams tasked with ensuring client satisfaction. He brings a PMP certification to his role along with extensive experience in planning, conceptualizing, creating procedures and reporting.
